Executive Vice President

Charlie Williams is a person with an extraordinary and unique sales career that bridges in-store merchandising with general media sales.

After an early and very successful career in newspaper sales, first with Gannett and then The New York Times, Charlie joined News America Marketing (div. News Corp) in 1994 and quickly rose from Group Sales Manager in its core business of in-store marketing with package good firms to becoming Senior Vice President of Sales. His strong understanding of the packaged goods industry helped “move product off the shelf” and grow the business at News America.

In 2001, Charlie was recruited by News America management to help launch the newly created FloorTalk® division. By positioning FloorTalk® as a “media buy” rather then an in-store promotional activity, Charlie and the FloorTalk® team took the new division from zero to $54 million in 4 years. During the decade + that he was at News, he managed key clients such as Hershey’s, Campbell Soup, Pfizer, Kraft-Nabisco, Unilever, Gillette, Schick, Novartis, Wyeth and Church & Dwight.

Charlie, who is an avid weekend tennis player (previous USTA Team Tennis star), has been deeply involved in the Special Olympics since 1986. In addition, he has coached Little League and was on the Board of Directors of The Larchmont-Mamaroneck Little League for more than a decade.

Along with his wife, Donna, Charlie lives in Larchmont, NY. They have a daughter and a son who are both successful managers in the retail field. Wonder who influenced that?
